Andreas Nicoli

Head of Private Equity

Andreas Nicoli joined Zürcher Kantonalbank in December 2010, initially in the Index Solutions division and later in the Private Equity division. He has headed this division since 2018 and has played a key role in its development. One of his main achievements was the establishment of the Swisscanto Growth Fund, a fund for qualified investors with access to unlisted growth companies in the expansion phase (late stage/growth). The Carbon Solutions private equity fund, launched at the beginning of 2022, also allows qualified investors to invest in high-growth, sustainable companies that are not yet listed on the stock exchange. 

In addition to his professional activities, Andreas Nicoli was a successful co-founder of Focuswater, the first Swiss vitamin water company, which was acquired by Rivella AG in 2019. 

Since joining State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) in Switzerland in 2001, Andreas Nicoli has held various positions in the institutional investment business at Credit Suisse and Zürcher Kantonalbank. He holds a degree in economics and business administration from the University of Zurich, specialising in financial market theory, and is a CFA charterholder.
