For 155 years, we have been making an important contribution to the public budget of our canton.
We support the canton and municipalities
As the legal entity, the parent company (Zürcher Kantonalbank excluding subsidiaries) is decisive for the appropriation of profits.
Zürcher Kantonalbank will distribute a dividend of CHF 378 million for the financial year 2025 (2024: CHF 375 million). Taking into account the OECD minimum tax, which was introduced on 1 January 2024, the canton will receive a dividend of CHF 372 million (2024: CHF 361 million). This includes the dividend to cover the capital costs of the endowment capital amounting to CHF 22 million (2024: CHF 21 million). Additionally, the canton benefits from the compensation for the state guarantee of CHF 34 million (2024: CHF 31 million) as well as the entire OECD minimum tax of CHF 169 million (2024: CHF 156 million) from the success of Zürcher Kantonalbank. The municipalities benefit from a dividend of CHF 175 million (2024: CHF 170 million) from the success of Zürcher Kantonalbank. In total, the canton and municipalities benefit from the success of Zürcher Kantonalbank with CHF 581 million (2024: CHF 562 million).
The remaining amount of CHF 840 million is allocated to reserves as retained earnings.
